Cohen's Big Entrance

Our family has joyfully welcomed our newest addition, Cohen Kent Nelson. He is such a sweet snugly little guy and we can't get enough of him.

He had a rough labor (so did mom). He was very cut up and bruised. My water broke at 3am Saturday morning, but I wasn't having contractions, so we took our sweet time getting out of the house. A few minutes away from the hospital, I started having horrific contractions. We parked the car around 3:40 and I knew the baby was coming...NOW!! We hobbled into the hospital and had the baby at 3:54 just in time to get in a bed. It was anything but boring, I am glad Ryan didn't have to test out his ob skills.

Dad and Cohen having their first bonding moment.

The proud siblings showed up a few ours later. Tatum was instantly in love with her new little brother. Lyric had some fun poking and prodding.

Davis came into the delivery room, ran right past his little brother to the table, and exclaimed, "Oh a muffin!" After consuming my muffin he came over for a quick introduction to his little brother.

Yay!!! I'm so happy to see pictures!! He is just adorable. It's so fun to see your new baby and see the gigantic resemblance that he has to your other kids. His story getting here is just amazing to me! Way to go Melissa, you are one super tough lady!! Congratulations on Cohen! Even a little banged up I can tell he's just as gorgeous as the other 3. We love you guys and can't wait to see him in person. Keep posting!!!

Wow Melissa 24 minutes after you arrived, that is crazy! You are one tough momma! He is adorable and it looks like he is flexing his muscles in that first picture, so cute! You look amazing by the way, how do you do it? I seriously laughed out loud when I read that Davis was more interested in the muffin than his new baby brother, classic! Please let me know how I can in anyway! I missed seeing you on Sunday! You are in my thoughts and prayers! Love ya!

congrats congrats congrats!!! Glad you didn't deliver in the car, and glad everything went well. Bruised or not, he looks perfect! I was going to say exactly what Kyra did....love the picture of all the kids together (can you believe you have FOUR now?) and you look entirely too good to have woken up at 3 am and gone through a crazy delivery (I guess if it's that fast you don't have time to look terrible??? Not that you ever could look terrible). Can't wait to meet him!

Wow congrats!! He is so adorable! Your story is a lot like Cristi's. She had Travis drop her off at the hospital before dropping the kids off at my moms because she knew that Colten was coming. Within 5 minutes in the hospital, she had Colten. Poor Travis missed the whole thing. Love your hair by the way.

Alright, he is so handsome and I agree with all the above comments. You look WAY TOO GOOD to have just had a baby hours earlier but hey, I've always considered you to be wonder woman so I guess it's to be expected. : ) Congratulations Melissa! Your family is so darn beautiful and I can't believe you're already up, blogging and checking e-mails. You're amazing. Congrats again!
