A Child's Prayer

This just melts my heart to mush!!! When we are saying a prayer, Lyric glances around and decides she too, should fold her arms. Now if only we could get Davis to do this...

These feet were made for walk'in...

Lyric started walking on Christmas day and I thought it was about time I documented it. I apologize for any neck-tilting cramps you may get from watching this. And yes, I do bribe my children with food.

Birthday Flowers

What more could a little girl want for her birthday than this....

Tatum's
little buddy, Camden, showed up at the door with some flowers for her birthday. How sweet is this???

Miss Priss Tatum Adelle

My mostly sweet, first born, darling daughter is now five. I can't believe it. She is growing up too fast. She is most certainly five going on thirty. Very mature, most of the time, slightly stubborn...(an understatement), completely charming, with a flair for the dramatic. Without a moment's hesitation, she would give you the coat off her back. She has so much love in her heart and a temper not be reckoned with. Tatum, we all love you bunches... Happy Birthday!!

They Call Me Trouble

Yes, trouble is his middle name... but we can't help but love this little guy to pieces! We have enjoyed these last three years with Davis... never a dull moment. Happy (late) Birthday Davis! This has got to be the handsomest little man ever! (In my opinion).

Rainy Day Hike

We planned a hike with our friends, and much to our dismay it was raining that day. We gave it a go, though and had an adventure hiking in fog and mud. Just as a side note: my hair didn't fare well with the elements, please ignore it at all costs.
Lyric was intent on trying to get out to walk around. For the first time Tatum and Davis actually completed a hike without having to be carried. We enjoyed the scenery and may even try it again in the near future.

Davis and His Best Friend Daxton.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and We're Spent!

We spent the entire day at Sea World and afterwards went straight to our friends house for a little New Year's Eve fun. We had all kinds of yummy food and played a fun game of Monopoly... until Ryan started monopolizing it. Around 10:30, I turned into a zombie and my children started becoming a little belligerent, so we called it a night. Yeah we're party poopers, maybe next year we can properly welcome the New Year.

Mall Rendezvous

Tatum got to meet up with her East Valley girlies at the mall... you are never too young to enjoy a trip at the mall with your friends. {Eden, Tatum, Madasin, & Lissity}

Christmas Day

Not exactly a white Christmas, but we were surrounded by all of our family... it was a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

We tried something a little different this year... a homemade Christmas. It was a lot of work and added stress during the holidays and I think it all ended up costing more, but the labor of love was evident in the gifts and I made out with some amazing gifts from my talented sisters-in -law!!Lyric enjoys pushing her new stroller around, but insists on carrying the baby while she pushes the empty stroller. (That sounds a lot like me at Disneyland.)
Alternative use for stroller: pushing cousins around.
Santa brought Tatum the much anticipated Easy-Bake Oven. "Now I can cook any time I want to in my bedroom," she innocently replied. Hmmm. Not sure about that. Her Aunt Whitney has plans to teach her how to cook the vegan way.
Many Christmases ago, I was playing with my brother's new remote control car, when a truck came around the corner and smashed it. My brother has never forgiven me. In attempt at redemption, I got my brother a remote control car this year. Erik, I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me. (I sense signs of repressed anger in this picture).

Davis woke up with a fever (which inevitably happens EVERY TIME we travel. His expressions were a little more joyful once the Motrin kicked in. Contrary to the picture, Davis loves his pirate ship, although I think he was expecting a real pirate ship. He brings it everywhere with him, the dinner table, the bathroom, to bed, and everywhere in between.

Christmas Cuties

My little cuties are showing off their Christmas dresses. I am having a little too much fun matching Tatum and Lyric. They will probably hold it against me one day. Now, Davis just needs a coordinating jumpsuit.
