Kung-Fu Kicks and a Bad Chipmunk

Davis never fails to make me laugh, something funny is always coming out of his mouth. The other day, we were relaxing in our backyard, and the baby was kicking like crazy. Davis had never really felt the baby move and has shown very little interest in the baby. I asked him if he wanted to come feel the baby kick. His eyes completely lit up and he excitedly replied, "I kick da baby???" He then came at me with his little kung-fu kick. Needless to say, I am slightly worried about the safety of this little baby.
I have been called many things, but today, I was called a "bad chipmunk." It stung pretty deep, especially when issued by my red-faced, 4-year-old, Tatum. She was unhappy with the way she was being reprimanded and out came the horrific insult, "You are a bad, bad chipmunk." I had to leave the room with a smile, but have to admit, she really can dish it out.

Kids say the craziest things. A bad chipmunk! She beats Jaimee, I am just the bad mom and not her friend anymore. I am sure Davis will love the baby when he/she gets here. My sister was worried about Jenna but she seems to really love Jacob. She gets jealous when Cristi nurses but has done really well. Goodluck.

Your blog is so much fun to look at. I can't wait to get mine as beautiful as yours. I can't believe Tatum is 4! It seems like yesterday we were visiting you in the hospital just before we moved. The Cali pictures are so great. I wish we would have got transfered there, then I wouldn't have to worry about snow shovels and power outages! Motherhood time 3 isn't as bad as I thought but don't expect to get ANYTHING done. My house hasn't been in order since Carson came and you just have to be okay with that. Of course it doesn't help that we just moved here and weren't completely organized before he came. The girls are awesome with him and I'm sure your kids will be just great. I can't wait to see what you have. I'm thinking Davis is going to have a brother but have nothing to base that on. Best of luck. Those last weeks last forever and I'm glad my turn is over.

that is funny. I'd much rather be a bad chipmunk that a mean cookie. I've been called that before ... and chipmunks are so much cooler than a cookie!! :) i think it's funny how when kids don't know what swear words really are... they just make up their own - who knew cookie or chipmunks were bad?! some days they just are. :)
