Stop the Time Change Madness

The madness of changing the time twice a year is driving me insane!!! Arizona has something right- and I am not sure why the rest of the country doesn't follow their example. After researching it, I found no real benefit to daylight savings time. Contrary to popular belief, farmers are annoyed by it. Maybe having daylight savings time always, saves energy cost and I would be all for that route. I am really having a hard time understanding why we put our kids through this ritual of change twice a year. My kids are completely off schedule. Davis has been getting up at five in the morning. It starts getting dark around four, my kids are asking for dinner then. By six we are all spent and ready for bed. Ehh! Sorry, just had to vent a little.

My sweet little boy awoke me with a tambourine serenade at 5am yesterday morning. (The tambourine is now in a safe hiding spot.)

You know since I have lived in Az I haven't missed daylight savings. Its got to be confusing for kids.

you are so right. Luke enjoys waking up an hour earlier than usual and Dylan is ready for his lunch and nap an hour early. Ahhh! Hopefully by next week they'll start normalizing. I'm with you on figuring out a way to end daylight savings time...

I did not know that AZ did not do the whole daylight savings time and yes I totally agree with you on it all, WHY??? Seriously why change it, I am so tired so soon and I can imagine it is way harder with kiddos! Love the vent!

I hear ya, this was our first daylight savings time change and I loath the fact that the sun goes down at 4:15... that's only an hour after Carter gets home from school! I feel like my evenings are very unproductful because it just feels like it's time for bed! Argh... I loved the Disneyland pictures, so fun to be able to frequent there!

I totally agree!!!! I am so confused myself, I'm sure it is hard on the kiddos and the people who raise them! I actually woke up at 6am today all by myself and I was not happy about it!!! And right now I could go down for the night.. so fun!

Agreed, stop the madness. Ridiculous vestigal modern day waste of effort, we might as well maintain hitching posts in front of every saloon. Keep only the summertime time.
