I love fabrics. I have quite the stash and so many mental pictures of cute projects waiting to happen. I don't really have the time... but one day soon, I will become a sewing manic- watch out!
Will you teach me how to make pretty things? I have a machine that my mommy gave to me and just don't really know how to use it. Those fabric's are so perdy!!! Some day maybe we can get together and play????
You know we're up for more sewing parties right? This time my project won't need to involve everyone and take the whole time. I love all your fabric in that picture. I want it all!
those are some pretty cute fabrics. I wish I had that much. I just have one or two stacks of fat quarters, but if I had more money to invest-oh my gosh, the fun that could be had...you are super creative and I know you will make some great stuff with all that fabric.
I got this recipe from my friend Kyra and love it!!!
1 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp soda 1 (14 oz) bottle maraschino cherries chopped (save juice)
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add sugar and shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
Frosting: Mix cherry juice, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cube butter add powdered sugar one cup at a time, until desired consistency.
