My mostly sweet, first born, darling daughter is now five. I can't believe it. She is growing up too fast. She is most certainly five going on thirty. Very mature, most of the time, slightly stubborn...(an understatement), completely charming, with a flair for the dramatic. Without a moment's hesitation, she would give you the coat off her back. She has so much love in her heart and a temper not be reckoned with. Tatum, we all love you bunches... Happy Birthday!!
She is absolutely beautiful! Can't believe she is 5!
Funny story, Natalie and I were watching one of her baby videos on YouTube and when it was over a video of Lyric popped up crawling. We knew she had to be yours - who else do you know named Lyric?! We clicked on it. Watched it over and over at Natalie's request. What a doll! You guys sure do make beautiful babies!
I got this recipe from my friend Kyra and love it!!!
1 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp soda 1 (14 oz) bottle maraschino cherries chopped (save juice)
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add sugar and shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
Frosting: Mix cherry juice, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cube butter add powdered sugar one cup at a time, until desired consistency.
