After almost a whole year of life without Disneyland, we got our season passes again. The kids were so excited and had a blast. Tatum was able to go on some "big girl" rides this time, now that she clears the 42 inch mark (with her high shoes on). She proudly braved the Grizzly River Run, twice and also went on Soaring Over California. Davis trembled his way through Pirates of the Caribbean, then asked to go on it again. We had a celeb spotting incident as well, and much to Ryan's embarrassment, I talked to Heidi Klum, who was there with her husband, Seal and their kiddos. It was a fun family day, perfect weather and not too busy... we can't wait to go back!
I LOVE Disneyland. I had an uncle who worked there growing up and we would go there every summer. I've been there like 20+ times :) Good for you talking to Heidi Klum!
I got this recipe from my friend Kyra and love it!!!
1 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp soda 1 (14 oz) bottle maraschino cherries chopped (save juice)
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add sugar and shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
Frosting: Mix cherry juice, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cube butter add powdered sugar one cup at a time, until desired consistency.
