Lyric has learned to say "mom" and every time she says it, my heart melts. I just love seeing her arms reached up towards me and hearing her sweet cry for mom. It makes me a little sad to know my baby is growing up so fast.
It was fun to be there the first time she called you mom, it was so cute. I can't wait until Mckynlee can say it to me. Lyric looks so cute in her costume!
I love moments like this. I remember when Jayden said it the first time I was walking out the door to go to work. She was reaching out for me and crying and out it came. I was so late for work that day because I couldn't leave her. Lyric is so beautiful in her costume. Did you make it?
I was talking to Carol tonight, and we have come to the conclusion that Lyric is just very advanced (and therefore our babies are not slow!). You did a great job on the little angel costumes...all your kids look great! One day we will get them all to sit still and look at the camera, but for now the wiggly-all-over pictures just make me laugh :>) That pumkpin patch was at Tom's Farms, by the way.
I got this recipe from my friend Kyra and love it!!!
1 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/3 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp soda 1 (14 oz) bottle maraschino cherries chopped (save juice)
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, and soda together. Add sugar and shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.
Frosting: Mix cherry juice, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 cube butter add powdered sugar one cup at a time, until desired consistency.
