I was ambitious and purchased two big boxes of fruit one peach and one plum... not sure exactly what I was going to do with them. I asked Marcie for help and she she spent the afternoon showing us how to can fruit, make jam, make freezer pies, baby food and other fun fruit-filled activities. We completely demolished her kitchen, but had a blast discovering our inner domestic divas.

Oh yeah! It was a lot of sweaty hot sticky fun! :) I'm so excited for canned peaches all year!
you are such a better mom than me :>) I have been meaning to buy that fruit for five years now, but I was never that ambitious! Good for you guys.
Your fruit looks beautiful. Hopefully Lyric will eat the baby food:) Amy you will have to come over next year. It's lots of work, but worth it all year!!
Looks like it was a ton of fun! I sure should have bought some of those boxes of fruit and learned with you all! Looks like a party and how cool that you know how to do all that fun jazz!

I bought a bushel of peaches this year and wish I would have had someone to can them with me (besides my two little turkeys). I did make some peach jam with a friend and it was a lot of fun. Good for you to initiate something like that and what fun new skills to have. What was in the ice cube trays? Is that baby food?
